Getting necessary but boring things done is actually a GOOD use of your time

The only thing worse than being bored, is doing stupid things when you’re bored. I mean, have you seen those Geico commercials that show some stupid online video of a guy juggling inside a cone, or those upside down chin puppets? Then it says something to the effect of “There are better ways to spend fifteen minutes online.”
When you’re bored, how often do you actually make good use of your time? As for me, whenever I find myself lacking creativity, I usually waste around an hour or so a day trying to find something interesting. I know there’s a list of stuff I will need to do eventually, but I don’t want to do and work. In the end, what I end up doing—of not doing—is really less interesting than getting something important done.
Bottom line: If you can’t find anything fun to do, it’s better to make good use of your free time.
